Often, when patients first receive their diagnosis of breast cancer, they don't know where to turn for support. It is a very scary time.
The Tits Up hub has been put together to help to signpost patients, their family and friends through their treatment journey.
The Tits Up hub came about after the publication of 'Tits Up - A Journey Laid Bare' by Carole Paterson, who was diagnosed with stage 3, Triple Negative breast cancer in 2019. Carole documented her treatment journey in an easy-to-read style so that fellow patients might find the information they need to support them in their treatment.
Proceeds from the sale of Tits Up - A Journey Laid Bare', hand-knitted teddies and hand-crocheted items have been donated to numerous charities involved in the care and treatment of breast cancer. To date, over £2500 has been donated.
